Russian Strikes Medical Center in Sumy, Ukraine, Claim 9 Lives

Russian forces struck a medical center in Sumy, northeastern Ukraine, on Saturday morning, launching a devastating attack that killed nine people and injured 20 others. The strike caused significant damage to the facility, where 86 patients and 38 staff members were present at the time.

Ukrainian Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko reported on Telegram that the initial attack resulted in one death and damaged the ceilings of several hospital floors. As rescue operations were underway, Russian forces launched a second assault, leading to additional casualties. \\"As people were being evacuated, the Russians struck again, killing a further five people,\\" Klymenko added.

The ongoing attacks highlight the escalating tensions and the severe impact on civilian infrastructure and lives in the region.
