President Xi Honors Heroes, Inspires Unity Ahead of National Day

In a grand ceremony at the Great Hall of the People, President Xi Jinping awarded the highest state honors to several distinguished individuals ahead of China’s National Day celebrations. The event, marking the 75th founding anniversary of the People's Republic of China, emphasized the nation's commitment to building a strong and unified country.

Among the honorees were veteran war hero Huang Zongde and medical scientist Wang Zhenyi, who received the Medal of the Republic. Additionally, border patrolman Bayika Kalidibek, technician Xu Zhenchao, and acclaimed actress Tian Hua were awarded national honorary titles. Former Brazilian president Dilma Rousseff was also honored with the Friendship Medal, highlighting the enduring bonds between China and its international friends.

Addressing the gathering, Xi highlighted the Communist Party of China's pivotal role in achieving rapid economic growth and long-term social stability. He called on all party members and citizens to look up to heroes and role models, urging them to unite and strive towards national rejuvenation through modernization.

\"All Party members and people of all ethnic groups should take heroes and role models as examples, unite and strive forward to form a mighty force to build a strong China,\" Xi stated. He emphasized the importance of loyalty, national pride, and the integration of personal goals with the country's development to realize both personal and national aspirations.

Xi encouraged the Chinese people to enhance their skills and contribute to the nation's strength, advocating for extraordinary achievements in their respective fields. He stressed the need to overcome development challenges while maintaining social harmony and stability.

The ceremony also featured heartfelt speeches from the awardees. Huang Zongde, 93, dedicated his honor to all members of the armed forces and heroes who sacrificed for China's independence and prosperity. Rousseff expressed her pride in receiving the Friendship Medal and committed to strengthening cooperation between Brazil and China.

With the presence of senior leaders like Li Qiang, Zhao Leji, Wang Huning, Ding Xuexiang, Li Xi, and Han Zheng, the event underscored China's readiness to collaborate internationally to safeguard peace and promote shared development. The collective spirit showcased at the ceremony reflects China's determination to build a resilient and prosperous nation.
