Bridging Nations: China and South Korea Boost Ties for Regional Peace and Growth

In a pivotal meeting held in Beijing on Thursday, China's top legislator Zhao Leji hosted a delegation led by Kim Tae-nyeon, president of the Republic of Korea (ROK)-China Parliamentarians' Union. The discussions focused on fortifying the already strong relationship between China and South Korea, emphasizing mutual interests that contribute to regional peace, stability, and economic prosperity.

Zhao, serving as the chairman of the National People's Congress (NPC) Standing Committee, highlighted the importance of maintaining good neighborliness and friendship between the two nations. He underscored the significance of adhering to the consensus reached by their leaders to ensure the continued sound and steady development of China-ROK relations.

The dialogue also touched upon enhancing bilateral cooperation in various sectors. Zhao advocated for strengthening mutual benefit and win-win cooperation, ensuring the stability and smooth flow of industrial and supply chains, and promoting people-to-people exchanges. He emphasized the need for more activities that foster friendship and garner public support for the long-term development of China-ROK relations.

Kim Tae-nyeon expressed South Korea's commitment to developing robust China-ROK relations. He extended congratulations on the 70th anniversary of the founding of the NPC in China and conveyed his appreciation for the ongoing efforts to bolster legislative exchanges and people-to-people connections.

Both leaders reaffirmed their dedication to continuing various forms of dialogue and exchanges, aiming to elevate bilateral relations and contribute positively to regional peace and economic growth.
