China Unveils 10 Strategic Partnerships with Africa to Drive Global Modernization

In a landmark announcement at the 2024 Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC) in Beijing, Chinese Premier Xi Jinping revealed a comprehensive plan to implement 10 strategic partnership actions with Africa over the next three years. This initiative aims to foster joint modernization efforts between China and Africa, regions that together account for one-third of the world's population.

Premier Xi emphasized that true global modernization cannot be achieved without the advancement of both China and Africa. \"On the path to modernization, no one, and no country, should be left behind,\" he stated, highlighting the inclusive nature of the partnership.

The 10 partnership actions focus on key areas such as mutual learning among civilizations, trade prosperity, industrial chain cooperation, and enhanced connectivity. Additionally, the plan addresses critical sectors like health, agriculture, livelihoods, and green development, ensuring that modernization efforts are both sustainable and equitable.

By prioritizing people-first approaches, diversity, inclusiveness, and eco-friendly practices, the partnership seeks to create a win-win scenario for both regions. The collaboration also underscores the importance of peace and security as foundational elements for sustainable development.

These initiatives are designed to strengthen the economic and cultural ties between China and Africa, fostering an environment where both can thrive and contribute to global progress. As the world becomes increasingly interconnected, such partnerships are pivotal in shaping a balanced and prosperous future for all.
