China’s PLA Starts Live-Fire Drills Along Myanmar Border

The Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA) Southern Theater Command has commenced joint live-fire exercises along the China-Myanmar border. These drills, which began on Tuesday, involve coordinated efforts between army and air force units on the Chinese mainland.

Tian Junli, spokesperson for the PLA Southern Theater Command, stated that the primary objectives of the exercises are to test the command’s reconnaissance, early warning systems, multi-dimensional control, and strike capabilities. The live-fire drills are designed to enhance the PLA's readiness in responding to various emergencies.

\"Our troops are fully prepared to handle a range of scenarios, ensuring the safeguarding of national sovereignty, maintaining border stability, and protecting the lives and property of our people,\" Tian emphasized.

These large-scale military exercises highlight China's commitment to reinforcing its border defenses and adapting to evolving security challenges in the region.
