China-Russia Partnership Expands into Emerging Sectors

In a significant move strengthening bilateral ties, Chinese Premier Li Qiang emphasized the expansion of cooperation with Russia in emerging sectors during his recent talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin at the Kremlin.

This meeting, part of the 29th regular gathering between the leaders of China and Russia, was co-chaired by Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin. Premier Li highlighted the importance of deepening collaboration not only in traditional areas but also in new and emerging industries, reflecting the dynamic nature of today's global economy.

Marking the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two nations, Li conveyed Chinese President Xi Jinping's warm greetings and best wishes to President Putin. He noted that their meetings this year have set a new course for China-Russia relations, infusing strong momentum into their partnership.

Premier Li underscored that the steady development of China-Russia relations contributes to regional and global peace, stability, and prosperity. He expressed China's readiness to work closely with Russia to implement the important consensus reached by their leaders, aiming to achieve comprehensive and mutually beneficial cooperation with tangible outcomes.

Highlighting the ongoing scientific and technological revolution and industrial transformation, Li pointed out the significant development opportunities these present. In response, President Putin echoed the sentiments, celebrating the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations and noting the fruitful discussions that led to several cooperation agreements. He highlighted Russia's willingness to strengthen cooperation, expand cultural exchanges, and enhance collaboration within multilateral frameworks like BRICS, advancing the strategic partnership in the new era.
