The Chinese mainland’s Fujian province has intensified its maritime security efforts near Kinmen, with the coast guard conducting regular law-enforcement patrols.
According to a statement from the China Coast Guard (CCG), these increased patrols, ongoing since August, aim to safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of Chinese fishermen, including those from the Taiwan region. The operations also focus on ensuring the safety of their lives and property, as well as maintaining normal navigation within the Xiamen-Kinmen maritime area.
By enhancing these patrols, the Fujian coast guard demonstrates its commitment to securing vital maritime routes and protecting the livelihoods of fishermen operating in these waters.
