This year marks the 20th anniversary of the China-Italy comprehensive strategic partnership, highlighting two decades of robust cooperation and mutual growth.
Since establishing diplomatic relations in 1970, China and Italy have deepened their ties across various sectors, including politics, economy and trade, people-to-people exchanges, and science and technology. These collaborations have laid a solid foundation for the flourishing bilateral relations between the two nations.
In recent years, the partnership has been further strengthened through close high-level exchanges, enhancing political mutual trust and paving the way for more collaborative initiatives.
Symbolizing this enduring alliance, Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni is set to embark on an official visit to China from July 27 to 31, at the invitation of Chinese Premier Li Qiang. During her visit, Chinese President Xi Jinping will meet with Meloni to discuss the future of China-Italy relations.
Additionally, Premier Li Qiang and Chairman of the National Peopleโs Congress Standing Committee Zhao Leji will engage in talks with Meloni, exchanging views on bilateral relations and addressing issues of common interest. This visit underscores the commitment of both nations to continue fostering a dynamic and mutually beneficial partnership.
