China and ASEAN Collaborate to Ensure Stability in South China Sea

Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi announced on Saturday that China and the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) are jointly maintaining peace and stability in the South China Sea.

Wang highlighted that China and ASEAN countries are continuing to promote consultations on the Code of Conduct in the South China Sea. They are actively engaged in practical maritime cooperation to uphold regional peace and stability.

\"The countries of this region have the full confidence, wisdom, and capabilities to address the South China Sea issue,\" Wang said at a series of meetings with foreign ministers of southeastern and eastern Asian countries in Vientiane, Laos.
