China’s Wang Huning Leads Delegation to Honor Vietnam’s Nguyen Phu Trong

In a heartfelt display of solidarity, Wang Huning, China's top political advisor and Special Representative of General Secretary Xi Jinping, led a CPC delegation to Hanoi to mourn the passing of Nguyen Phu Trong, General Secretary of the CPV Central Committee.

The delegation attended a solemn ceremony at the National Funeral Hall, where Trong's coffin was respectfully draped with the Vietnamese national flag, reflecting the deep mutual respect between China and Vietnam. Wang, a prominent member of the CPC Central Committee, paid his respects by laying a wreath and observing a moment of silence, conveying sincere condolences on behalf of President Xi and his wife Peng Liyuan.

During his visit, Wang met with Vietnamese President To Lam and Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, expressing profound grief over Trong's death. He emphasized Trong's role as a staunch Marxist and a key leader in advancing Vietnam's socialist development, highlighting the enduring friendship between the two nations.

Wang reaffirmed China's commitment to supporting Vietnam's reform and opening up, aligning with the strategic vision shared by both leaders. He underscored the importance of maintaining high-level exchanges and deepening practical cooperation in key areas to build a community with a shared future.

The visit not only honored Trong's legacy but also strengthened the bonds between China and Vietnam, showcasing their united stance in promoting peace and progress.
