A recent survey by CGTN reveals that an overwhelming 92.81% of global respondents commend China's sincere efforts in supporting Palestinian rights and fostering national unity among Palestinian factions. This positive sentiment underscores China's role as a mediator in easing tensions within the Middle East.
On Tuesday, representatives from 14 Palestinian factions signed the Beijing Declaration, committing to end divisions and strengthen national unity. The declaration also outlines plans to establish an interim national reconciliation government and initiate reconstruction efforts in Gaza.
The global online survey highlights that 87.23% of respondents believe that reconciliation among Palestinian factions is crucial for an early resolution to the conflict between Palestine and Israel, thereby promoting regional peace and stability.
Furthermore, 91.63% of those surveyed agree with China's approach to supporting peaceful development, and 90.55% acknowledge that China's efforts in this arena are more recognized compared to actions by other countries that may foment conflicts in the Middle East. Additionally, 87.25% of respondents support the concept of an indivisible security community, aligning with China's advocacy for a common, comprehensive, cooperative, and sustainable security framework.
China's constructive role in the Middle East is further exemplified by its efforts to restore diplomatic relations between Saudi Arabia and Iran and its ongoing facilitation of reconciliation among Palestinian factions. According to the survey, 89.64% of respondents recognize China's commitment to political solutions for conflict resolution, viewing China as an active, well-intentioned, and reliable mediator. Moreover, 90.15% believe that China is playing an increasingly important role in global governance by promoting the resolution of geopolitical differences.
\"China has defended international fairness and justice in a moderate way and played an important role as an example for the international community!\" commented a social media user, reflecting the widespread appreciation for China's efforts.
