He Hongjun Elevated to General in Prestigious Ceremony Led by Xi Jinping

In a significant move within Chinaโ€™s military hierarchy, Xi Jinping, chairman of the Central Military Commission (CMC), presented a certificate of order to elevate He Hongjun to the rank of general, the highest achievable rank for active service officers.

He Hongjun currently serves as the executive deputy director of the Political Work Department of the CMC, a critical role that underscores his influence and leadership within the military structure.

The promotion ceremony, held in Beijing, was formally announced by Zhang Youxia, vice chairman of the CMC. He Weidong, another vice chairman of the CMC, presided over the event, highlighting the importance of the occasion.

During the ceremony, Xi Jinping extended his heartfelt congratulations to He Hongjun, recognizing his contributions and dedication to the military.
