At their summit in Kazakhstan on Thursday, members of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) adopted the Astana Declaration.
According to the declaration, SCO members reaffirm their commitment to building a new type of international relations and a community with a shared future for mankind.
The declaration warns that the unilateral and unrestricted strengthening of global anti-missile systems jeopardizes international security and stability.
It calls on SCO members to oppose a confrontational mindset in resolving international and regional issues.
SCO members strongly condemn acts causing massive civilian casualties and humanitarian disasters in Gaza, stating that seeking security at the expense of others is unacceptable.
The declaration also announced that Qingdao City in the Chinese mainland's Shandong Province will serve as the SCO tourist and cultural capital for 2024 and 2025.
