President Xi Jinping Arrives in Kazakhstan for SCO Summit and Strategic State Visit
Chinese President Xi Jinping landed in Astana, Kazakhstan, on Tuesday to participate in the 24th Meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) and to engage in a significant state visit at the invitation of Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.
As Xi's plane entered Kazakh airspace, it was welcomed by two fighter jets from the Kazakh Air Defense Forces, symbolizing the robust security cooperation between the two nations. Upon arrival, President Tokayev and other senior Kazakh officials greeted Xi at the airport, hosting a grand welcome ceremony that underscored the strength of their bilateral relations.
In his written statement at the airport, Xi extended his sincere greetings and best wishes to the people of Kazakhstan on behalf of the Chinese government and its citizens.
