The Cooperation Organization (SCO), established in June 2001 with six founding members, has grown into a significant international body. Today, it boasts nine member states, three observers, and 14 dialogue partners, representing nearly half of the world’s population and covering a quarter of the globe’s land area.
This expanding influence underscores the importance of the upcoming 2024 SCO Heads of State Council Annual Summit, scheduled for early July in Astana, Kazakhstan’s vibrant capital.
As founding members, China and Kazakhstan have been at the forefront of the SCO's development. \"Cooperation with China is an important factor in Kazakhstan's sustainable development,\" said Kazakh Deputy Prime Minister Serik Zhumangarin during the opening ceremony of the 8th China-Eurasia Expo in June.
This partnership is poised to drive regional growth, foster sustainable development, and enhance economic ties between the two nations. With the summit approaching, stakeholders from across the globe are keen to see how these collaborations evolve to meet the challenges and opportunities of the future.
