Communist Party of China Membership Surpasses 99 Million in 2023

The Communist Party of China (CPC) has achieved a significant milestone, with its membership reaching 99.185 million by the end of 2023. This marks a 1.2 percent increase compared to the previous year, highlighting the party's continued growth and influence.

According to official reports, the CPC now encompasses 5.176 million grassroots-level organizations, including 298,000 grassroots-level Party committees. These local entities play a crucial role in the party's extensive network and community engagement.

Demographic data reveals that there are currently 30.185 million female Party members, making up 30.4 percent of the total membership. Additionally, ethnic minority members constitute 7.7 percent, with their numbers standing at 7.592 million. This diversity within the CPC underscores its broad representation across different segments of society.

The majority of Party members are engaged in various sectors, including workers, farmers, technical personnel, and managers within enterprises and institutions. This diverse professional background contributes to the party's comprehensive approach to governance and development.
