At the 70th anniversary of the Five Principles of Peaceful Coexistence in Beijing, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi called for joint efforts to accelerate the development, solidarity, and cooperation of the Global South.
Wang, a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, highlighted the significance of President Xi Jinping's recent speech, which outlined the path towards building a community with a shared future for mankind. This vision, according to Wang, sends a strong message to the Global South to collaborate with nations worldwide for a better future.
The Chinese Foreign Minister emphasized that the concept of a shared future is the most effective strategy to sustain, promote, and enhance the Five Principles of Peaceful Coexistence in today's evolving global landscape.
Addressing the interconnectedness of nations, Wang pointed out that common challenges and responsibilities link the futures of all countries more closely than ever. He advocated for the establishment of a new type of international relations centered around win-win cooperation.
