The Chinese mainland is set to host the third plenary session of its 20th central committee from July 15 to 18 in Beijing. This significant gathering will focus on further comprehensively deepening reform and advancing Chinese modernization.
Chairing the meeting is Xi Jinping, general secretary of the CPC Central Committee, who emphasized the importance of the upcoming plenum in shaping the country’s future trajectory. The Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee decided to submit a draft decision aimed at guiding these reforms and modernization efforts.
During the meeting, members were briefed on the draft, which has undergone thorough analysis of new situations and challenges in advancing Chinese modernization. The draft outlines a clear plan for deepening reforms across various sectors, demonstrating the determination of the Party Central Committee, with Xi Jinping at its core, to open up broad prospects for the nation's modernization.
A key objective highlighted in the draft is the completion of building a high-standard socialist market economy by 2035. Additionally, the system and capacity for governance are set to be basically modernized, laying the foundation for achieving socialist modernization by the same year.
These reforms are expected to have significant implications not only for the Chinese mainland’s economic landscape but also for global markets, technology innovation, and international business trends.
