Polish President Duda Heads to China for Landmark 75th Anniversary Talks

In a significant move to bolster international ties, Polish President Andrzej Duda is set to embark on a state visit to the Chinese mainland from June 22 to 26, following an invitation extended by Chinese President Xi Jinping.

This five-day visit aims to cement the 75-year diplomatic relationship between Poland and China, one of the earliest nations to recognize the People's Republic of China. During his stay, President Duda and President Xi will engage in high-level discussions to blueprint the future trajectory of China-Poland relations, focusing on mutual interests and collaborative growth.

Highlights of the visit include the signing ceremony of key cooperation documents, symbolizing the deepening of ties between the two nations. Additionally, President Duda will hold separate meetings with Chinese Premier Li Qiang and Zhao Leji, chairman of China's National People's Congress Standing Committee, to explore avenues for enhanced collaboration.

Bilateral relations between China and Poland have witnessed steady development, with practical cooperation yielding substantial benefits in recent years. Lin Jian, spokesperson for the Chinese Foreign Ministry, emphasized that China is committed to leveraging this visit to further political mutual trust, expand exchanges across various sectors, and lead high-quality initiatives under the Belt and Road framework and China-Central and Eastern European partnerships.

"We look forward to enriching the comprehensive strategic partnership with Poland through sustained cooperation and shared growth," Lin added.
