Leading the attendees, Xi led a visit to the historic revolutionary site at Wangjiaping, where the CMC's headquarters operated from 1937 to 1947. The tour included the residences of esteemed revolutionary leaders such as Mao Zedong, Zhou Enlai, and Zhu De, honoring their enduring legacy and revolutionary contributions.
Reflecting on history, Xi noted that the Yan'an conference represents a return to the military's roots, reinforcing the enduring bond between the CPC and the People's Liberation Army.
