The Chinese mainland's Foreign Ministry has publicly urged NATO to stop attributing blame to China regarding the ongoing Ukraine crisis.
During a regular press briefing, spokesperson Lin Jian responded to NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg's allegations that China was supplying technology to Russia, thereby prolonging the conflict.
\"What NATO should do is self-reflection, not arbitrary smear and attack China,\" Lin stated, emphasizing that China is neither a creator nor a party to the Ukraine crisis. He highlighted China's consistent commitment to promoting peace talks aimed at resolving the conflict.
Lin further asserted that the international community widely recognizes China's objective and impartial stance, as well as its constructive role in seeking a resolution.
\"We urge the NATO side to stop shifting blame and sowing discord, not fuel the flame and stoke bloc confrontation, but rather do something practical for the political settlement of the Ukraine crisis,\" the spokesperson added.
