Xi Jinping and Brazil’s Alckmin Forge Stronger China-Brazil Ties

In a significant display of international friendship, Chinese President Xi Jinping met with Brazilian Vice President Geraldo Alckmin in Beijing on Friday, declaring that China and Brazil are \"like-minded good friends\" and \"good partners walking hand in hand.\"

Xi highlighted the deep strategic trust and pragmatic cooperation between the two nations, emphasizing that their collaboration has not only fueled their own development but also safeguarded the interests of developing countries worldwide.

As two major developing nations and emerging markets, China and Brazil share a broad range of strategic interests. Xi noted that their relationship extends beyond bilateral ties, serving as an exemplary model for solidarity and cooperation among developing countries and contributing to global peace and stability.

The Chinese leader expressed willingness to consolidate cooperation in traditional sectors while expanding into emerging areas such as green economy, digital economy, and innovation. He also stressed the importance of aligning the Belt and Road Initiative with Brazil's re-industrialization efforts.

Moreover, China aims to enhance exchanges and partnerships in legislative bodies, political parties, culture, education, tourism, and youth initiatives, supporting Brazil in playing a more influential role on the international stage.

Vice President Alckmin echoed the sentiment, welcoming increased Chinese investment in Brazil. He called for strengthened collaboration in infrastructure, agriculture, minerals, new energy vehicles, and climate change mitigation.

Alckmin emphasized the shared commitment of both nations to defend multilateralism and free trade, highlighting the vast potential for future cooperation. He also expressed Brazil's intention to mark the 50th anniversary of their diplomatic relations as a launching point for elevating China-Brazil ties to new heights.
