The United Nations has expressed deep concern following reports of a devastating attack in Sudan's Gezira State. According to a UN spokesperson, \"horrifying reports … about a high number of casualties\" have emerged from the village of Wad Al-Noura.
More than 100 people lost their lives in the assaults, which began on Wednesday, carried out by the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF). These attacks have left the local community reeling and raised urgent questions about the ongoing conflict in the region.
As of now, the RSF has not issued a statement in response to these tragic reports. The international community continues to call for immediate measures to protect civilians and restore peace in Sudan.
