China and Venezuela Strengthen Strategic Partnership in Historic Meeting

In a significant move to bolster international ties, China's top political advisor Wang Huning met with Venezuelan Foreign Minister Yvan Gil Pinto in Beijing on Friday. This meeting underscores the strengthening of China-Venezuela relations, which were elevated to an all-weather strategic partnership by the two heads of state last year, marking a new historical period for bilateral cooperation.

Wang, chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), expressed China's commitment to building on the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two nations. He emphasized translating the mutual consensus into practical actions, aiming to enhance China-Venezuela friendship and collaboratively shape the future of their partnership over the next half-century.

\"The CPPCC National Committee is dedicated to creating a favorable environment and harnessing positive energy to further our cooperation with Venezuela,\" Wang stated.

Echoing these sentiments, Yvan Gil Pinto highlighted that under the leadership of the two countries' heads of state, China-Venezuela relations have entered the best period in their history. He affirmed that Venezuela fully supports China's global initiatives and will continue to be a steadfast partner. Committing to the one-China principle, he reiterated the intent to promote the all-weather strategic partnership between Venezuela and China.
