Le Thanh Long Appointed as Vietnam’s Deputy Prime Minister

The National Assembly (NA) of Vietnam on Thursday approved the appointment of Minister of Justice Le Thanh Long as Deputy Prime Minister, Vietnam News Agency reported.

Born in 1963, Long has been a prominent figure in Vietnam's political landscape, serving as a member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam during its 12th and 13th terms. His extensive experience in the justice sector, having held the position of Minister of Justice since April 2016, is expected to bring significant expertise to his new role.

This appointment underscores the NA's commitment to strengthening the leadership team and advancing the country's legal and administrative frameworks. As Deputy Prime Minister, Long will play a crucial role in shaping Vietnam's policies and initiatives in various sectors.
