China and Brazil Strengthen Ties at COSBAN Meeting

In a significant display of international cooperation, Chinese Vice President Han Zheng and Brazilian Vice President Geraldo Alckmin co-chaired the seventh meeting of the China-Brazil High-level Coordination and Cooperation Committee (COSBAN) in Beijing on Thursday.

Vice President Han highlighted that under the strategic leadership of both nations, China and Brazil have consistently supported each other on matters central to their national interests. Emphasizing win-win cooperation, the two countries have deepened political mutual trust and enhanced strategic coordination.

The collaboration spans various sectors, including economy, trade, and aerospace, yielding tangible results that exemplify South-South cooperation. Han stated that such partnerships not only benefit the involved nations but also set a positive example for other developing countries.

As major developing countries and pivotal members of BRICS, China and Brazil share broad common interests. Han emphasized that China has approached its relationship with Brazil from a strategic and long-term perspective, making bilateral relations a diplomatic priority.

Concluding the meeting, Vice President Han called for strengthened strategic communication and the deepening of mutually beneficial friendships and pragmatic cooperation between the two nations.
