At the 10th ministerial conference of the China-Arab States Cooperation Forum (CASCF) in Beijing, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi articulated China's unwavering stance on the Palestine issue.
Wang emphasized that the Palestine issue remains central to Middle Eastern affairs and affirmed China's steadfast support for the restoration of the legitimate national rights of the Palestinian people. He highlighted China's commitment to the establishment of an independent State of Palestine based on the 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
Furthermore, Wang expressed China's backing for Palestine's full membership in the United Nations and its willingness to contribute to promoting domestic reconciliation within Palestine. Addressing the current situation in Gaza, Wang called for an unconditional and immediate ceasefire, underscoring the urgent need to improve the humanitarian situation and protect innocent civilians.
China reaffirmed its solidarity with Arab states, pledging to uphold justice and work towards an early, comprehensive, just, and lasting solution to the Palestine issue. The conference concluded with the adoption of a joint statement by China and Arab states, reinforcing their collective commitment to supporting Palestine.
