China Endorses Two-State Solution, Pledges Aid for Gaza Reconstruction

Chinese Premier Xi Jinping emphasized the two-state solution as the path to resolving the Palestinian-Israeli conflict during the 10th ministerial meeting of the China-Arab States Cooperation Forum.

He highlighted the immense suffering caused by the escalating conflict and called for justice and a ceasefire.

\"War should not continue indefinitely. Justice should not be absent forever. Commitment to the two-state solution should not be wavered at will,\" said Xi.

China supports the establishment of an independent State of Palestine with full sovereignty based on the 1967 borders, recognizing East Jerusalem as its capital.

Beijing also advocates for Palestine's full membership in the United Nations and supports a broad-based, authoritative international peace conference to ease the Palestinian-Israeli conflict.

In addition to a previous 100 million yuan in emergency humanitarian aid, China has pledged an additional 500 million yuan to support the humanitarian crisis in Gaza and post-conflict reconstruction.

Furthermore, Xi announced a $3 million donation to the UN Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East to aid emergency assistance in Gaza.
