During a meeting with the outgoing Chinese Ambassador to Cambodia, Wang Wentian, Hun Sen emphasized the deep mutual trust that underpins the bilateral ties. \"This relationship is worthy of the value of mutual trust, especially political trust,\" he stated.
Hun Sen highlighted China's significant role in Cambodia's socio-economic development, noting that China's assistance has not only spurred growth but also reinforced Cambodia's political independence.
Experts echo this sentiment, pointing out the substantial benefits that Cambodia-China relations bring to both nations. Kin Phea, Director General of the International Relations Institute of Cambodia, a think tank under the Royal Academy of Cambodia, told Xinhua, \"The unbreakable iron-clad friendship between Cambodia and China is based on mutual political trust, respect, support, non-interference, and win-win cooperation.\"
Kin Phea added, \"Looking into the future, bilateral relations will continue to grow stronger, more comprehensive, strategic and unbreakable, and diversify into numerous areas of common interest.\"
