Chinese Premier Li Qiang on Monday extended his congratulations to Jeremiah Manele on assuming the office of Prime Minister of the Solomon Islands.
In his message, Premier Li emphasized that China and the Solomon Islands are comprehensive strategic partners built on mutual respect and aimed at common development in a new era.
Since establishing diplomatic relations five years ago, Premier Li noted, the bilateral ties between the two nations have grown rapidly. Political mutual trust has deepened continuously, and practical cooperation has yielded fruitful results, positioning their partnership as a model for South-South cooperation among developing countries.
Premier Li added that the Chinese government places great importance on its relationship with the Solomon Islands and is keen to collaborate with Prime Minister Manele and his new government. The goal is to maintain high-level exchanges, strengthen mutually beneficial cooperation, enhance friendly relations, and strive for new advancements in their comprehensive strategic partnership, ultimately benefiting both nations and their peoples.
