Mainland China Condemns Taiwan’s Anti-Infiltration Act as ‘Evil’ Policy

A spokesperson for the Chinese mainland on Wednesday harshly criticized Taiwan authorities for utilizing the so-called anti-infiltration act as a means to suppress dissent and pursue partisan agendas.

Zhu Fenglian, representing the Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council, labeled the act as \"evil\" and highlighted that it has faced widespread opposition in Taiwan since its inception.

Responding to media inquiries, Zhu emphasized that the anti-infiltration act has been accused of hindering communication across the Taiwan Strait, with numerous voices in Taiwan calling for its repeal.

According to Zhu, the DPP authorities' implementation of the act contradicts the will of the people and the current trends by intentionally fostering cross-Straits conflicts and provoking confrontation. He warned that such actions are ultimately detrimental to the DPP's own interests.
