Deadly Clashes in West Bank as Israeli Aid Package Approaches

The occupied West Bank witnessed another weekend of intense violence as Israeli forces continue their operations amid the ongoing Gaza conflict.

On Sunday morning, the Israeli Defence Force (IDF) reported the killing of two Palestinians near Hebron. According to the IDF, one of the men attempted to stab soldiers, while the other opened fire on the troops. These actions were cited as reasons for the deadly response.

This incident occurred less than a day after a significant raid in Nur Shams, near the Palestinian city of Turkarm, where Israeli forces killed at least 14 Palestinians. The raid, launched on Friday morning, led to ongoing exchanges of fire with armed fighters that extended into Saturday.

Since the onset of the Gaza war last October, Israeli soldiers and police have conducted numerous raids across the occupied West Bank. These operations have resulted in the arrest of thousands of individuals, including members of armed groups and civilians, intensifying the region's volatility.
