China and Gabon Celebrate 50 Years of Strong Diplomatic Ties

China and Gabon are marking a significant milestone as they celebrate the 50th anniversary of their diplomatic relations. On Saturday, Chinese President Xi Jinping exchanged congratulatory messages with Gabonese Transitional President Brice Oligui Nguema, highlighting the enduring friendship between the two nations.

In his heartfelt message, President Xi emphasized that the traditional friendship between China and Gabon has only grown stronger over the past five decades. Despite the evolving international landscape, both countries have consistently treated each other as equals, fostering mutual support and cooperation.

President Xi expressed his commitment to further developing China-Gabon relations, viewing this golden anniversary as a new starting point. Reaffirming Gabon's unwavering adherence to the one-China principle, President Nguema stated that Gabon regards Taiwan as an inalienable part of China.
