A recent business confidence survey released by the German Chamber of Commerce in China reveals strong optimism in the prospects of China-Germany economic and trade cooperation. Among the 566 member companies surveyed, an impressive 91 percent expressed their intentions to continue their operations in China, while more than half indicated plans to increase investments in the Chinese market.
Last year, major German companies such as Siemens, Mercedes-Benz, BASF, Volkswagen, and BMW continued to escalate their investments in China, further highlighting their confidence in the Chinese market’s potential.
\"Cooperation between China and Germany benefits not just the two sides but also the world at large,\" said Chinese President Xi Jinping on Tuesday during a meeting with Chancellor of Germany Olaf Scholz, who is on a three-day official visit to China.
Xi emphasized, “The more instability in the world, the greater the need for the two sides to strengthen the resilience and vitality of their relations,” calling for joint efforts to maintain the overall direction of cooperation and development to grow bilateral ties.
