Chinese VP Han Zheng Meets El Salvador’s New Ideas Party to Boost Bilateral Ties

In a significant move to strengthen international relations, Chinese Vice President Han Zheng welcomed a delegation from El Salvador's New Ideas Party to Beijing on Wednesday. Led by Vice President-elect Felix Ulloa, the delegation engaged in meaningful discussions aiming to deepen the bonds between the two nations.

Han Zheng highlighted the rapid development of bilateral relations since China and El Salvador established diplomatic ties over five years ago. He emphasized China's commitment to working closely with El Salvador to implement the consensus reached by both nations' leaders, fostering mutual trust and expanding cooperation under the Belt and Road Initiative.

The Vice President underscored the importance of increasing people-to-people and cultural exchanges, as well as enhancing communication and coordination on international and regional matters. He expressed China's willingness to build a new type of political party relations with the New Ideas Party, paving the way for steady and long-term bilateral relations.

Felix Ulloa expressed his gratitude towards China for its unwavering support and assistance since the establishment of diplomatic ties. He noted that bilateral cooperation and exchanges are progressing smoothly, and the friendship between the two peoples is continually deepening. Ulloa also reiterated El Salvador's adherence to the one-China principle and expressed the party's eagerness to learn from the Communist Party of China's governance experience to explore a development path tailored to El Salvador's national conditions.

This meeting marks a pivotal step in enhancing the diplomatic and economic ties between China and El Salvador, promising a future of collaborative growth and shared prosperity.
