Xi Jinping and Vietnam’s Vuong Dinh Hue Strengthen Bilateral Ties

In a significant move to bolster China-Vietnam relations, Chinese President Xi Jinping met with Vuong Dinh Hue, Chairman of the National Assembly of Vietnam, in Beijing on Monday. The meeting focused on enhancing collaborative efforts to build a China-Vietnam community with a shared future.

During the discussions, President Xi encouraged Vuong Dinh Hue to extend warm greetings to Nguyen Phu Trong, general secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee. Reflecting on his visit to Vietnam last year, Xi emphasized the strategic importance of the joint announcement made with Nguyen Phu Trong, marking a new chapter in bilateral ties.

President Xi highlighted that the hallmark of China-Vietnam relations lies in their shared destiny and mutual understanding. He described the relationship as one of \"comrades-plus-brothers,\" underscoring the deep-rooted traditional friendship between the two nations.

Looking ahead, Xi urged both countries to intensify their cooperation to support their respective modernization goals, benefit their populations, and contribute more significantly to the global socialist movement. He expressed China’s willingness to enhance the exchange of governance experiences, integrate the Belt and Road Initiative with the Two Corridors and One Economic Circle strategy, and foster greater interactions among young people and sister cities.

This meeting underscores the ongoing commitment of both China and Vietnam to strengthen their partnership and work collaboratively towards shared prosperity and sustainable development.
