In a recent vote, out of 47 member nations, 28 favored the resolution urging Israel to be held accountable for potential war crimes and ceased weapon supplies, while China stood in support alongside other nations.

China’s persistent calls for an immediate ceasefire highlight its commitment to alleviating the humanitarian crisis in Gaza. Chen Xu, China’s permanent representative to the UN, emphasized the urgent need for peace and the restoration of legitimate national rights for the Palestinian people during discussions at the UNHRC.

Additionally, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi addressed the council, advocating for the protection of people’s rights to survival and development amid growing global turbulence.
