The Chinese mainland has issued a stern warning to Taiwan authorities regarding recent military movements in Kinmen. Speaking on Wednesday, Chen Binhua, a spokesperson for the State Council Taiwan Affairs Office, emphasized that any provocative actions by the Taiwan military in Kinmen are destined to fail.
Chen responded to inquiries about the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) authorities' plans for live ammunition firing in Kinmen scheduled for April. He asserted that whether such actions are deemed \\"routine\\" training or \\"targeted\\" provocations, the DPP authorities are fully aware of the implications.
Highlighting the experiences of residents in Kinmen, Chen noted that the people there have witnessed the oscillation between peace and conflict. This has fostered a strong desire for lasting peace among the community, leading them to prioritize \\"building bridges\\" over \\"firing guns\\".
