In a significant move to bolster regional cooperation, China's Foreign Minister Wang Yi held productive talks with Nepal's Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Narayan Kaji Shrestha in Beijing on Tuesday.

Wang Yi, a key member of China's Political Bureau, emphasized China's commitment to Nepal as a priority in its neighborhood diplomacy. \"China is ready to work with Nepal to promote the high-quality Belt and Road cooperation and advance our strategic partnership to new heights of friendship, development, and prosperity,\" Wang stated.

Nepal's Deputy Prime Minister Shrestha echoed this sentiment, highlighting the new government's dedication to strengthening ties with China. He announced Nepal's decision to join the Group of Friends of the Global Development Initiative, signaling a deeper collaboration in future projects.

The discussions mark a pivotal step in enhancing the strategic partnership between the two nations, focusing on sustainable development and mutual prosperity under the Belt and Road framework.
