This year marks the 20th anniversary of diplomatic ties between China and Dominica.
Over the past two decades, the relationship between China and Dominica has flourished, embodying mutual respect, equality, mutual benefit, common development, and win-win cooperation between countries of different sizes, Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Lin Jian stated on Wednesday.
Dominica plays a significant role in the Caribbean and has been a steadfast friend and partner of China in the region. In 2018, Dominica signed a memorandum of understanding with China to collaborate on the Belt and Road Initiative. By 2020, the value of China’s contracted projects in Dominica had reached $500 million. Furthermore, in 2023, the trade volume between the two nations surpassed $70 million.
In honor of the 20th anniversary of diplomatic ties, "Chart of the Day" delves into the fruitful achievements between China and Dominica.
