This year, China’s State Council Information Office released a white paper titled “CPC Guidelines for Governing Xinjiang in the New Era: Practice and Achievements,” highlighting the policies and milestones that have shaped the region’s journey.

Over seven decades, Xinjiang’s economy has surged. Last year, GDP surpassed 2 trillion yuan—about $278 billion—for the first time, posting 6.1% year-on-year growth.
