Former Egyptian PM Highlights Strengthened China-Egypt Ties on 10th Anniversary

As China and Egypt celebrate the 10th anniversary of their comprehensive strategic partnership, the year 2024 marks a significant milestone in their bilateral relations. The launch of the China-Egypt Year of Partnership has seen a remarkable flourishing of cooperation between the two nations.

In a recent edition of Leaders Talk, CMG's He Yanke engaged in an insightful conversation with Essam Sharaf, former Prime Minister of Egypt, during Sharaf's 46th visit to China. Sharaf emphasized the pivotal role China plays on the global stage, stating that people around the world \"depend on China as a peaceful power.\" He further noted that no other country has had such a \"positive impact\" on such a large group of nations.

Sharaf highlighted the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) as the world's largest international cooperation platform. He described China's three global initiatives as the \"building blocks\" essential for realizing a community with a shared future. Despite facing a \"media war\" of misinformation, Sharaf remains optimistic that continued cooperation and mutual learning through people-to-people exchanges will overcome these challenges.

The strengthened ties between China and Egypt not only reflect their shared values but also pave the way for a more peaceful and prosperous future. As both nations build on their historic relationship, the global community watches eagerly, recognizing the potential for significant advancements in international cooperation and development.
