Embracing the Three-C Approach to Understand China’s Rise

In the past three to four decades, the People's Republic of China has embarked on an extraordinary journey of human development and progress. Rising from poverty, China has transformed into a geopolitical powerhouse, a technological titan, and an integral part of the global economy.

A remarkable achievement is China's success in lifting hundreds of millions out of poverty. Additionally, the nation has made significant strides in environmental protection, acknowledging the imperative to balance energy consumption with ecological care.

However, the West still grapples with fully understanding China's unique political system and its distinct geopolitical strategies. Many in the West remain trapped in a post-Cold-War mindset, viewing the world through a unipolar lens reminiscent of the 1990s, despite the current multipolar dynamics where China stands as a key player.

Jan Zahradil, a former member of the European Parliament, advocates for a transformative approach termed the \"Three-C approach\"—communication, cohabitation, and cooperation. This strategy aims to replace the outdated mentality of rivalry and confrontation with constructive engagement.

Zahradil hopes that Western leaders, decision-makers, and influencers will increasingly adopt this approach, fostering a more harmonious and collaborative global landscape. As China continues to evolve, embracing the Three-C approach could pave the way for mutual understanding and shared success.
