Chinese culture, rich and diverse, has been studied by people all over the world, serving as a bridge between China and other countries. These cultural exchanges not only foster mutual understanding but also pave the way for stronger diplomatic and economic ties.
To explore how the Chinese mainland can create deeper and more substantive people-to-people exchanges to mitigate concerns and boost good relations, we spoke with German sinologist Prof. Hans van Ess, the vice-president for research at Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich (LMU Munich).
