SCO Champions Global Unity and Security with New Membership and Strategic Initiatives

The Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) has reaffirmed its commitment to global peace, security, and prosperity by adopting the Astana Declaration and approving 25 strategic documents covering key areas such as energy, security, trade, finance, and information security.

During the 24th Meeting of the Council of Heads of State, the SCO showcased its expanding influence, welcoming Belarus as its 10th member state. Since its inception in 2001, the SCO has grown to include 26 countries across three continents, reflecting its pivotal role in fostering international cooperation.

Chinese President Xi Jinping emphasized the importance of unity and strength within the organization, urging member states to resist external interference and support each other. "With more partners, the foundation of cooperation is more solid," Xi stated, highlighting the benefits of a diversified and collaborative approach.

Amidst a turbulent and changing global landscape, the SCO's initiatives aim to create a harmonious and just world. The organization's focus on sustainable development and mutual trust positions it as a key player in addressing contemporary global challenges.
