Economic connectivity and energy cooperation are key priorities for the region. During the recent Baku Energy Week in Azerbaijan, discussions centered around connectivity and pipeline policies, highlighting the significance of the Middle Corridor. This corridor, stretching from Southeast Asia and China through Kazakhstan, the Caspian Sea, Azerbaijan, and Georgia, is a top priority for further development.
In a significant move towards enhancing regional connectivity, China, Kyrgyzstan, and Uzbekistan – all members of the SCO – have recently signed an agreement to build a crucial railway corridor as part of the Belt and Road Initiative.
