Brazilian Vice President Geraldo Alckmin discussed the growing strategic partnership between Brazil and China, emphasizing the significance of their cooperation on the global stage.
Both nations have closely coordinated efforts in multilateral platforms such as the United Nations, the G20, and BRICS, aiming to safeguard multilateralism and foster a collaborative international environment.
Alckmin highlighted that bilateral relations are becoming increasingly robust as cooperation and dialogue mechanisms align their development strategies. This alignment was further demonstrated during the seventh meeting of the China-Brazil High-level Coordination and Cooperation Committee (COSBAN), co-chaired by Alckmin on June 6 in Beijing.
Looking ahead, Brazil is committed to using the 50th anniversary of diplomatic ties and the 20th anniversary of the COSBAN mechanism as milestones to enhance communication and coordination on areas of mutual interest. Alckmin expressed a keen interest in deepening and expanding exchanges and cooperation to drive better employment opportunities, higher incomes, and sustained economic growth for the people of Brazil.
In a testament to China's developmental achievements, Alckmin praised China's success in eradicating extreme poverty, commending it as a model for other nations to follow. \"It is our duty to help those in need,\" he remarked, underscoring Brazil's dedication to fostering global well-being.
