Libyan PM Partners with China to Rebuild Nation Amidst Regional Challenges

After more than a decade of civil war and turmoil, Libya is on a path to restoration and prosperity. Prime Minister Abdul Hamid Dbeibah, in an exclusive interview, shares his vision and the crucial role China plays in Libya's ambitious \"Return to Life\" initiative.

Attending the 10th Ministerial Conference of the China-Arab States Cooperation Forum in Beijing on May 30, Dbeibah outlined his country's optimistic outlook. \"We are starting to rebuild and revitalize Libya,\" he stated. Emphasizing that his visit to China \"is not about seeking aid; it's about discussing our future,\" he highlighted the importance of strategic partnerships in shaping Libya's destiny.

Dbeibah fully endorses President Xi's global initiatives and China's \"Five Cooperation Frameworks,\" which aim to promote development across the Middle East and North Africa. He believes that China's guidance and support are pivotal not only for Libya but also for the broader Arab states in the region.

Amidst the ongoing Israel-Hamas conflict, the Libyan leader made an impassioned plea: \"Stop the killing! Stop the war! Stop the destruction!\" He expressed hope that Chinese wisdom and mediation could contribute to lasting peace and stability in the region.

As Libya embarks on this critical reconstruction phase, the collaboration with China marks a significant step towards achieving sustainable development and fostering regional harmony.
