China and Arab States Strengthen Ties at 10th CASCF Ministerial Conference

In a landmark event on May 30, Chinese President Xi Jinping delivered a keynote speech at the opening ceremony of the 10th Ministerial Conference of the China-Arab States Cooperation Forum (CASCF) in Beijing. This meeting marks a significant milestone as the first ministerial conference following the successful inaugural China-Arab States Summit.

Celebrating its 20th anniversary this year, the CASCF has been a cornerstone in deepening the strategic mutual trust between China and Arab nations. Over the past two decades, the relationship has blossomed through expanded practical cooperation and enriched people-to-people exchanges, fostering a comprehensive, multi-level, and wide-ranging partnership.

The forum has been instrumental in establishing 19 cooperation mechanisms spanning various fields and issuing 85 outcome documents. These initiatives have laid the groundwork for a new era of China-Arab all-round practical cooperation, emphasizing both shared interests and mutual benefits.

In his address, President Xi emphasized China's commitment to working with Arab states on an equal and mutually beneficial basis. He highlighted the vision of building a model of high-quality cooperation under the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), aiming to accelerate the construction of a China-Arab community with a shared future.

Through collaborative efforts, significant progress has been made towards strengthening strategic mutual trust and fostering deeper ties. The 10th CASCF Ministerial Conference serves as a testament to the enduring and evolving partnership between China and the Arab world, setting the stage for continued growth and collaboration in the years to come.
