China and Serbia Strengthen ‘Ironclad Friendship’ with New Free Trade Agreement

China and Serbia have solidified their long-standing partnership, often described as an \"ironclad friendship,\" through a series of collaborative infrastructure projects and the recent signing of a Free Trade Agreement in October 2023.

In a special edition of the Hub from Serbia, journalist Wang Guan traveled across the country to witness firsthand the impact of China's infrastructure initiatives. From modern highways to advanced telecommunications networks, these projects are transforming Serbia's landscape and boosting its economy.

Wang Guan also had the opportunity to sit down with Li Ming, the Chinese Ambassador to Serbia. Ambassador Li highlighted the three pillars of China-Serbia cooperation: economic growth, cultural exchange, and technological innovation. He emphasized that the newly signed Free Trade Agreement is a testament to the deepening economic and trade ties between the two nations.

Addressing Western concerns about China's political motives in Serbia, Ambassador Li stated that such accusations are \"groundless.\" He affirmed that Serbia's alignment with China's initiatives is a result of its own free will, aimed at fostering mutual growth and development.

As China and Serbia continue to collaborate on various fronts, their partnership stands as a model of international cooperation, demonstrating how nations can work together to achieve shared goals and build a prosperous future.
